In Memory

Denise Lamassonne

I received this note from John Ehret, Denise's husband:

Hello Class of 1972, I am an alumni of the class of 1971 and was married to Denise Lamassonne, class of 1972, and want to report her passing in 2005. She passed with ovarian cancer, which she lived beautifully for six years with. Skiing in March, passed in July.

Thank you for your attention, John

Rest in peace, Denise!

John, I'm so sorry that Denise was taken from you way too soon. I always liked Denise, she was so creative and always so kind to me even though we didn't hang out in the same crowd. I hope you're well, and always hold the memories you made close to your heart. Pam Fielding Harris

Didn't Denise have a twin sister, Karen?   I remember both of them being creative and very friendly.  I think they worked (family owned?) a restaurant in downtown Los Altos that I visited after graduation.   My condolences to her family - RIP Denise.

Denise was great. Am I correct she lived in Europe before she moved to Los Altos? She seemed very sophisticated in High School. Scott Snider and I graduated early (December '71) and spent 3 months driving across the US Spring of '72. Denise gave us the number of a friend or relative in Larchmont New York. We stayed with them and went down to Manhatten every day and explored the city. When you're young and on the road a friendly place to stay is golden. I will always be thankful for her kindness.
